This last month, through out my life I have sadly come to realize that this world is full of closed-minded people. It completely disgusts me the length people would go in order to stay closed minded. It should be considered a disorder, I mean why not? Who really has control over what characteristics all together make you deemed hopeless?
Closed-Mindedness has spread all over this world and held so many souls captive. You will know right away if you are already reading this and thinking negatively about my words; and that is because you are closed-minded.
Even just in US history; look at all the negative events that occurred because people were closed-minded; Racial Hate, Sexual Orientation, Religious beliefs, Political differences, Different lifestyles even. Martin Luther King, is a perfect example of what I mean, do some research and see how much violence and deaths happened because of closed-minded people. Hitler, Do I even have to get into that one? A World War.
If you don't like those examples look at how the US Media has effected everyone. And yes Everyone. Appearance has become more important than a persons character. Just even by hearing stories from my nieces who are in elementary school, kids have gotten very cruel. Just because of a persons weight does not define who they are. This is just a perfect example of closed-mindedness.
My heart has broken for human beings, I wish that I could somehow help each and every person that deep down knows there is so much more. After I realized all of this it took some time to heal, to accept that this is how life has been and will be until one day it will go too far. But there is always hope. I am living my life to the fullest, I have no regrets, I love my life every negative thing has always brought me better character. I may be young but I am so in tune with myself. I am ready for what this world has to offer me.
I do not know you, I know these are just words but whoever you are; My heart reaches out for you, you are not alone, there is always time for change.
After all, every person in history who was remembered for centuries to come after their time, He/She thought outside the box and was determined to make change happen. So with these thoughts I hope that we can all gain a sense of self.
